As a newborn baby photographer in San Diego, California I am fortunate enough to hold babies every day, how awesome is that?! It is easy to say I love my job; I cherish every moment I get to spend taking photos of babies. However, it is so much more than just than just taking pictures of babies. When a mom or dad calls me to schedule their newborn photo shoot, we go over every little detail. I want all my clients to have an amazing relaxed experience. This means preparing them for what to expect before, during, and after their newborn session. We discuss everything from the babies nursery, decoration styles of the home, color schemes of the home, siblings, as well as what their vision is for the session. Once a mom or dad books their newborn session I send them a newborn prep packet so that they know exactly how to prepare for their babies session as well as how the session will flow. The prep packet covers clothing, what to bring, how to include siblings, and how to prepare their newborn for her big day. Parents arrive at the studio much more relaxed when they know what to expect. New parents have so much on their plates already taking care of this precious new life, getting pictures of their sweet baby should not add to that stress, but instead be a memorable experience that they can enjoy.
