There is nothing like family. My husband and I moved back to California from the East Coast after being out of California for 13 years. We do not regret it one bit. It is one of the best decisions our family has ever made and you know why? FAMILY!!! Both our families are in Northern California and being on the East Coast we only saw them occasionally on a few select holidays. Living in Southern California is like a dream come true. Of course it is beautiful here and we feel so privileged to live in such a gorgeous area with amazing beaches and scenery, but there is nothing better than having family a day drive away. We have only been in Southern California for three years and have already seen family more here than ever before. I wouldn’t trade it for the world! My sister’s family recently came to visit us and we had the best time! We had several beach days and even hit up a local surf competition that happened to be going on. We went to Stone Brewery, relaxed by the pool, and had lots of cousin time!
It had been a few years since I did pictures for my sister’s family and we both agreed she needed to update her walls, haha. Her girls were set on family beach photos, so Carlsbad Beach family photos it was! On the evening of their session we headed out to Carlsbad Beach for their family beach pictures and it looked like it was going to storm. It was so overcast and a little chilly. The whole Carlsbad coast had this dense fog, which isn’t too normal for this time of year. Regardless, we had a beautiful evening on the beach – clouds and all. My sister’s family just radiates love and happiness; I wish I could just bottle it up. We had so much fun during this beach family session. My sister and her husband are also a ridiculously gorgeous couple that is just smitten with each other and it shows. So glad we decided to do family beach pictures. Love you Lincoln family! xo
